The Perfect Location for Austin Engagement Photos: Laguna Gloria

This is the kind of venue that invites you to slow down and soak it all in. Built in 1916, the Italianate-style villa sits on 18 acres of waterfront property just outside of downtown Austin. As a part of The Contemporary Austin, you’ll find sculptural gardens, winding pathways, and centuries-old oaks. Between the wooded spaces sit impressive art installations and hidden gems that call for a quiet moment with you and your person.

Editorial Energy With a Personal Twist

Etinosa and Richard wanted an editorial feel for their session, without feeling too styled or stiff. The energy was easy, lived-in, and full of chic but intimate moments. We focused on creating a space for them to simply be together, allowing their dynamic to lead the way, while I gently guided them. The result? A collection of imagery that feels more like a shared memory rather than a photo shoot.

How to Celebrate Your Culture in Your Engagement Session

Heritage and culture are a big part of who we are and the story that led us here. Incorporating nods of culture in your engagement session can be a beautiful way to honor your roots, together. And this doesn’t mean you have to change the whole format of the session — it can start with what you wear. Etinosa and Richard chose to proudly showcase their Nigerian American heritage through traditional attire: a gold and black kaftan for her and a sleek black senator suit for him. Later, they slipped into chic white tops and denim. Whether you go bold or subtle, styling can be a powerful way to honor where you came from and who you are as a couple.
