There is something so unique about celebrating love where art and history meet. This couple’s Witte Museum wedding unfolded elegantly — thoughtful details, layered with meaning, and touched with just enough modern flair to feel wholly their own.

The Vision: Classic Meets Contemporary

From the very first conversation, I felt a natural connection with this couple, Halle and Jordan. Their vision was rooted in classic elegance — a traditional cathedral ceremony, black-tie style, and refined details — yet they weren’t afraid to weave in playful, unexpected moments (stay tuned for adorable pet-inspired details and fun surprises).

The Ceremony at San Fernando Cathedral

Founded in 1731, the storied church sits at the heart of San Antonio. The stained glass and soaring ceilings of this historic cathedral set a memorable tone for this wedding. The couple’s traditional Catholic wedding ceremony among the gilded details and ornate architecture spoke to their shared values and strong support system.

The Witte Museum Wedding: A Backdrop of Culture and Style

The Witte Museum offers a one-of-a-kind setting in San Antonio. Though the cocktail hour had to be moved indoors due to the weather, the change only highlighted the museum’s unique atmosphere. Guests mingled among curated collections while a live painter crafted a portrait of the ceremony — an exquisite reminder that this day, too, was a work of art in motion. The reception space came alive under towering white cherry blossom trees, set against a black-and-white striped dance floor that felt equal parts classic and current.

Fashion That Spoke Volumes

The bride channeled modern royalty in a long-sleeved lace dress with a full ballgown silhouette — a look that echoed Kate Middleton’s timeless elegance. Later, she changed into a chic strapless number complete with a sculptural satin flower, while her groom matched the transformation in a crisp white tuxedo jacket. Their guests followed suit in polished looks, with the bridesmaids’ all-black ensembles standing out for their bold details. However, a special mention must go to the bride’s mother – glowing in a romantic pink gown with delicate floral appliques.

Personality in the Details

From their custom monogram to cocktail napkins with notes “written” by their dog, Halle and Jordan didn’t miss a single opportunity to incorporate their fun-loving personalities into their wedding. Guests were greeted with witty decaled cups with quotes from the couple, a life-sized ice sculpture of their pup, and a cake so carefully detailed with edible flowers that it could’ve been plucked straight from the garden. Espresso martinis made their rounds to keep the energy up, followed by tacos for a midnight snack. Light-up cowboy hats brought Texas charm to the dance floor – and the appearance of the San Antonio Spurs mascot was a delightful surprise for the groom.
